Sweemo is short for “sweet moment”, an online experience trading website for you to sell, bid and swap experiences with other people.
Unless you are an actor, it is difficult to imagine living someone else's life. So Sweemo provides a unique forum for people interested in the experiences of others.
"In my life most of the greatest experiences that I've had were opportunities or invitations from friends, family or someone I knew," Jay Nguyen, the managing director of Sweemo told Skinflint.
When asked how the concept of Sweemo evolved he confessed, " I was trying to find people who had great opportunities. How to make those opportunities available for other people?
The obvious answer is by paying for them with money but another way is by exchanging their experiences for those of someone else."
Jay then quit his job in engineering to focus full time on the project. Finally his innovative idea became the unique website, Sweemo.
Jay, who would do anything to promote his website, came up with a fishy marketing promotion.
He offered a bizarre online auction, in which the winning bidder could slap him on his face with a 15lb salmon.
The story was reported by Metro and also MSN, which helped him to attract huge number of hits.
Then he released the video of himself being slapped by the winner, Chase Hoffman from Austin, Texas in Trafalgar Square on YouTube.
The experiences are organised into categories: entertainment, sport, dating, travel, learn how, adrenaline, lifestyle and adult.
An archaeologist from New York offered the opportunity to spend a day on a local archaeological site to see what an excavation session is like.
A stunt person from Los Angeles, California posted the opportunity of going on a day shoot. "You can hang out with the crew and see a lot of what goes into make the movie," he wrote.
The current highest bidding price is only one dollar. There are many more things for you to explore and you can share your exciting moments with other people.
