My name is Kamilah Fabien and I am a documentary film maker, a television and radio producer, video editor and entrepreneur.
My mother would call what I just did "speaking into existence" or wishful thinking.
Not too far from the truth though because I have received training to perform all the above roles and am interested in many areas in the media industry.
This website was created to show my skills: writing, sub-editing, filming, interviewing, presenting, video and audio editing, mangerial skills and web design.
As a child my father called me Dry foot, and for short just Dry because of how skinny I was. And he suggested the name Dry Inc. as a business name.
I tweaked it and made it Dry Ink because I think that's the way that media technology has been moving in.
The first weapon of mass media was the printing press which used ink. Since then media technology has become steadily more advanced but the basis is the same.
People are still just discovering and telling stories using new methods or dry ink.
